The table is posted here(on Britishtennis.net, as namechecked by Chicken Wings himself!)
Boggo, of course couldn't make it to any of the ATP tournaments to sign in, and so is working with Brad this week.
Luckily, most of his close competitors are also not competing this week: Guzman, Daniel and Granollers are in qualies in Brazil, but other than that, Alex can relax. (unless I've missed a bunch or players somewhere)
Even better, Alex gets back into the top 150, as Luzzi, Carlsen, Saretta and Pashanski drop behind him after defending points from 2006. Can he stay there though?
Bethan, are you set up to do "what- ifs" down this low?
Good news overnight: Guzman and Granollers were both knocked out of Costa do Sauipe qualies, leaving just Marcus Daniel in the Q draw. Only him and Igor Andreev still in action on the table. Obviously the union of amalgamated players ranked around 140 -170 has gone on strike this week.
Hmm. My computer really doesn't want me to post this lets see if third time lucky works (good job I saved it this time, re-writing the whole thing is not fun.)
I've not taken into account any 1st round results but here is the 'what if' post:
Boggo will end the week on 289 points, same as he started it. 8 players can overtake him, which -all things considered- isn't too bad. Especially when we look at how they can overtake:
Brain Wilson(W in S)[a WC ranked 249],Dutra Silva (f in C), Andujar (f in C), Warburg (f in S), Stakhovsky (f in S),Guez (s in M), Daniel (q in C), Saretta (rd2 in C).
All four in Brazil overtake but they have to do silly things like beat the top seed. Saretta's match is against Di Mauro so he is the #1 threat. two of the three in San Jose could overtake but again it's highly unlikely. so: best case:149 (+5) Worst case:156 (-2)
Edit: well it worked but completely mucked up the format so I'll just tidy it up again...Oh and removed all the names

will this low ranking mean alex can still make the atp Q cuts. would be a bit of a disaater if he missed out on those, as i assume he wont be entering challengers bar sunrise.
its not all doom and gloom tho, his worclaw perfoamce was good, it was a tough event and the feedback seems everyone played great there, its just in comparison with bergamo last year. Alex has 36 points to defend untill after wimby now, so still a good chance for progess if he can stay fit.

hmm, at least 3 challengers, sunrise, valencia & tallahasse, and probably others there is normally a uk one at easter and normally lanzarote. He is unlikey to play all of them so they say 4-5 challengers
ATP qualies, you have memphisis, las vegas, miami, indian wells, so 4 chances there as well.
As for clay i am not sure how much he will play this year, last year he just went for RGQ i wonder if he does the same this year.
edit: or Lundi might tell him he has to play nmore clay, try and develop his all round game for the better. clay tennis migth help tougen him up for tbhe rallies.

Count, I don't know about future ATPq draws but this week guys ranked 249 and 194 qualified in San Jose, guys ranked 216 and 160 qualified in Brazil and 2 guys outside the top 250 qualified in Marseille. All of them are below Boggo and all got through 3 rounds of qualies so chances are they weren't the lowest ranked players. I don't think we need to worry overly much just yet.
He may not get into the qualies of Indian Wells and Miami though - don't know when those lists come out.
I'm sure he'll climb back up the rankings, the points are all so close around the 150mark that places change a lot with only a few points gained. Also quite a lot of points are being defended around him over the next couple of weeks.

Quite encouraging how many tournamenst he could play whilst avoiding clay!
Thanks COunt. You're right though, Lundi might encourage him to play more. Its just such a lottery for him, because he has a chance vs most people on other surfaces but he would have to gets amazing draws to wins many points on clay!
Sunrise, Tallahassee and Valencia. Are they all USA? Is that the American Valencia or the Spanish one? Lanzarote obviously Spanish! And one in Britain. Is that Cardiff?
Like you, Count, I'm fairly confident with not quite so much to defedn he can get back into top 120 by Wimbledon!
its the american valencia, i think its cardiff, but the only challengers up on the calender are US ones that far ahead, so i am remebering back to last year.
Last rear at RG he had a good opening win then lost to a guy ranked really low. i think he can play on clay, he just doesnt like it

Guez is out of Marseille . Unfortunately his victor, Saulnier ends up overtaking Jonny M and going level with Alan Mackin. As Saulnier has a remote chance of overtaking if he wins Marseille, that leaves the worst case still 154.
