Bloomers climbs to world rank 183  as Calatrava, Cakl and Jones  lose points defended from last year.

Greg also climbs three (Cakl, Jones and Cipolla), while Josh rises four (Jones, Vico, Healey, Haehnel)

Big opportunity for both Richard and Josh to advance this week: Bloomers could overtake Boggo, if he takes advantage of his easy R1 draw, and goes on to make the final, while Alex goes out in R1 to the second  seed.

No threats to Richard in round 1. Greg, however could be overtaken if Cipolla or Crivoi win in Bergamo, or Cakl wins in Wroclaw. Cipolla plays Clemens today.

Josh's closest threat, Jones, the number 1 seed, has alrady been knocked out of Burnie. Josh can be overtaken if Vico beats Guez in Bergamo

Hmm, not a good start to 2007 for Josh   He goes out and immediately loses a place to Vico   which knocks him back to 208.  Greg is overtaken by Cipolla ,  and drops to 204.

Meanwhile, Warburg climbs to be level on points with Richard , and Klec, Ram and Dorsch also advance. Ahead, Zabaleta climbs off the table and into Boggo- land.

On the positive side, Richard's #4 and #6 targets, Sa and Bastl are knocked out, as are Josh threats Andujar and Clemens.

Richard can overtake Odesnik if he wins and Odesnik loses today.

Crivoi and Cakl can overtake Greg if they win today Armando can overtake Josh if he wins

Hmm, Richard joins Josh, Alan and Jamie on the sidelines

Odesnik won, and moves 10 points clear of Richard.

Cakl  went out behind Greg. Crivoi can overtake Greg if he wins Armando can overtake Josh if he wins

Lorenzi and  Lacko were knocked out.

Troiki, Haehnel, Craciun and Kollerer advanced.

Overnight.....


Crivoi  withdrew from Bergamo. Armando lost in Dallas, so Greg and Josh weren't overtaken Tourte also lost.

Ghem and Fognini advanced behind Richard Prysienzy advanced behind Greg Dutra Silva advanced behind Josh


Today ,  in Wroclaw, Klec plays Boggo and Kollerer plays Boggo threat Zib.  Both will overtake Josh if they win.  In Bergamo, Cipolla plays Boggo threat Montcourt, and overtakes Richard if he wins.

The table's updated following the release of the new ATP rankings, amd following Madeline pointing out that Josh is defending 8 points from the GB Satellite last year It's posted here.

 Kollerer lost to Zib, so thats one less to overtake Josh. In Bergamo, Cipolla just lost to Boggo threat Montcourt so won't overtake Bloomers.

Unfortunately, Ghem  won in Florianopolis, and Warburg won in Dallas, and both overtake Richard, who drops to WR185

Mertl won in Wroclaw, and overtakes Josh

Overnight.......

A terrible night for Josh furious:

Healey won in Burnie. Brzezicki and Dutra Silva won in Florianopolis. Dorsch won in Dallas.

All four overtake Josh, and send him down to 220

Better news for Bloomers: Cipolla went out to Montcourt. Reynolds was knocked out in Dallas, and missed overtaking Greg. Ram won in Dallas, and is now just 1 point behind Rusedski

Today, in Bergamo, Troiki plays Haehnel.  Troiki overtakes Greg if he wins, while Haehnel overtakes Josh if he wins Vico plays Van Scheppingen, and overtakes Greg if he wins

In Wroclaw, Przysiezny plays Boggo target, Eschauer. He overtakes Greg if he wins:Cry:. Craciun overtakes Josh if he beats Economidis: He's just lost the first set

Tonight, in Florianopolis, Fognini can overtake Richard if he beats Boggo threat Pashanski Greg threat Andujar plays Hernandez.
