Jamie can sneak in if he is really lucky. He'll be top seed in the qualies, otherwise.
How far would Jamie have to get this week to get one of them SE spots?

The way I understand it is that SE spots are designed to make sure that players who would have tried to enter a tournament through qualifying, but who can't because they've still got to play a match in another tournement can still get into the tournament.
As qualifying usually starts on a Saturday, Jamie would either have to win a QF on the Friday, and so make the semis, or be in a QF that has been delayed until the Saturday because of the weather etc..
It's pretty right (or so it seems), except that you should mention two more things:
1) You can always move down from one tournament level to another, but not upwards. Like from Masters/ISG to Tour and Tour to Challengers.
2) In case of Challengers, you can only accept SEs in the same geographic zone. The zones are as follows: Region 1 (Americas), Region 2 (Europe, Africa, Middle East, Western part of Russia and some Western Asia countries), Region 3 (Eastern part of Asia and Oceania).
Count, the reason Boggo didn't get one in Maui after winning in Wrexham was because it was in North America.
The ranking for the entry lists are taken from a few weeks before. Think it's 3 weeks. So thereferoe good old jamie won't get in directly een thoough his current radnnking desreves it

The cut for the main draw is now down at 328 with first alt at 343, quite low for a US Challenger (especially seeing as it is the only one scheduled for this week), so hopefully at least one of them can go deep into the tournament.
Off topic, but has anyone else noticed that Mr Hingis (aka Radek Stepanek) has decided to enter Marseille qualies this week - seems a bit harsh on those drawn in his section, needing to beat a top twenty player just to make the main draw!!

Yes, it does seem harsh, and suggests that his decision to stop playing DC was a very last minute thing ...
