No Bloomers, so looks like he'll go for Marseille qualies. No Lee Childs...

Wild card choices?

I'd go for - Morgan Phillips, Miles Kasiri, Slabba and Tom Rushby. And Chris Eaton if Morgan somehow gets a direct entry.

Phillips, Kasiri and Slabba would defo be my choices. As for the last I think Flanagan is playing quite well this year. Will he need one or would he get a DA?

QR2: (q14) Jim May WR 1060 v Pritchard or Obama

I think this must mean that Morgan and Flan have WCs or have scraped in as DAs. The next highest ranked players who were on the Alt list are Bammy, Eaton, Slabba and Ward, but I wouldn't like to guess whether any of them or a couple of juniors will get the remaining WCs.

Btw, I was a bit shocked to see a B Obama on the OoP after he declared his candidacy for the US presidency this weekend.

QR1 and QR2 are both due to be played on Sunday.

If Ross Connolly doesn't reach QR3 (unless he's injured) I'll eat my house!

Why does the unranked Zimbabwean Garanganga have a wildcard?

I don't think that the LTA are particularly bothered who gets the qualifying wildcards   If you went along there on the Saturday night and asked for one, you'd probably get it

Because he is a pretty highly rated Junior player who trains in some academy in Florida.

The qualifying draw is supposed to be 48, but there are only 41 players in it. So I think that means that literally anyone could have turned up at the club, signed in, and ended up playing.

Yeah, but then why the WC? He would get the direct entry as long as he has an IPIN (and of course he does).

It may be so that he missed the sign in deadline by a few minutes but due to his high profile he was given the WC and allowed to play.

I don't really know.
