Only four players with a WTA ranking, and many I haven't come across before. I'll add further info as I research it.

Esther Adeshina is missing from the draw and is still on the acceptance list, so hopefully she has been given a main draw wildcardQR1:- Emma Wilson (GBR) WR1004  [1] v Aimee Knowles (GBR)

There's some interesting names there :)

Very glad to see Min Mahmut on the list - I've had some fun chats with her dad

Tegan has a very winnable match

Interesting to see Indy Spink back on a UK court

And good on Lauren for giving it a whirl - last saw her play about 10 years ago

These are some of the women you'd expect to have been at Glasgow too, really

Possibly all five of the following have made it into the main draw:- Freya Christie, Katherine Barnes and Eliz Maloney (+ Stresnakova and Ozeki)

Possible wild cards are Esther Adeshina, Ruby Cooling and Victoria Allen.

Eleanor Dean had entered, but withdrew yesterday.

(This editor is playing up on me tonight, keep having to edit and correct posts)

I would agree with your suggestions of wild cards. Possibly Teodora Prisadnikova as the fourth.

I think Vic Allen is probably still injured from last week

And Teddy Prisadnikova might not leg it all the way down to Loughbourough

Am hopeful for Esther and Ruby

I think Marelie Raath might have a wildcard too

ADD: Apart from the fact that Marelie is in the quali draw so that's a load of nonsense, CD  ! biggrin

Millie Rajecki may (probably?) have a WC. She seems to have missed the withdrawal deadline having promptly withdrawn from the W15 the system placed her in. She is an advance entry in doubles and, given how much Loughborough post about her, I'm guessing she is based there now.

For Eliz to make the main draw without a WC there needs to have been another withdrawal not yet showing on the published list, or they could give her direct entry by not giving that WC to someone else [BTW she was playing for Loughborough in the BUCs Super-Weekend last weekend].

I'd say the WCs are Millie, Eliz, Esther and Ruby

Pleased to see Indi play. Hopefully she's fully recovered from whatever her injury problems were that prevented her from serving overhead in the last couple of matches at the end of her college career.

I wonder where Sophie DL is? Injured? Netball? Can't get time off work? Given up tennis? She doesn't seem to have played since the National League Finals at the beginning of September when she double bageled Gabi Taylor.

Lambda is probably correct. Whether she needed one or not Eliz was guaranteed a wild card for winning the Sutton British Tour.

Well done, Tegan (born 2008)

As expected above, she won that match easily - 6-2 6-3

 Yes

We've going to have a lot of GB girls into the MD, including some who you wouldn't necessarily expect

Emma will play Tegan for qualification in the top 4, which Emma obviously as favourite

The German girl will probably win in the next block

Brooke/Georgiana/Marelie/Hollie is an interesting block with Brooke probably as slight favourite, but only slight

Hoping that Dani P beats the q4 Swiss girl, which leave her favourite, IMO, against Lammas/Waas

Megan Davies and Sophie Bekker both have a good shout in the next block where the Italian q5 is

And then Indy could/should (?) beat the US q10 girl, leaving Indy v Ciara most probably

The next block is the only one with two foreign girls, so slightly more tricky (and Cesca Simpson and Amelie Brookes are not our strongest players - but then maybe the foreign girls aren't either)

And the last block is all-Brit, with Lois, Erin, Mia all havign a good shot
