Week 33 - ITF ($100K) - Vancouver, Canada Hard

A quick check through her results gives me a count of 9 with less than 4 games won out of 112 matches in the last 12 months (singles and doubles - and not including retirements).
But I don't have the skills of others to process data off the web in detail.
Today is the third worse, and increases the total to 10.

Well I hope Katy and Emily WS have the time to enjoy the sights of Vancouver and its surrounds for a couple of days. Its a beautiful place and their tennis probably needs putting into perspective a little after the horrors of Landisville.

Yeah it was from late March that I was thinking of, and just in singles, starting with Hon in Australia:

Hon 0 and 1

Hozumi 1 and 0

Lykina 2 and 1

Vikhylantseva 2 and 1

and today 2 and 0

There's been 12 singles losses to the gain of just 4 games or less (which is still a comprehensive defeat) within the past 12 months.

Emily's bags hadn't arrived last night, so whether or not she even had her own rackets for today is unclear.

There might be something to this theory...

My that was quick ! Great chart.

Yes, it does look as if there is something in this - Katy is a game a set behind the group she should be on a par with.

Nice to see Beatriz Haddad Maia return here after over 3 months out with a back injury. She is a seed here and beat Hev in the first round of Acapulco and Miami this year so probably best they don't draw each other in the first round...

(although to be honest, the way things are going, we could probably say that about anybody in the draw cry)

Em and Katy teaming up. If nothing else I'm sure they'll have plenty of fun.

Naomi is top seed with Stollar.

In singles, Hev draws third seed Alexandrova.

Katie gets Abanda, Naomi plays Marino.

Em and Katy are rooming togerher, so I'm hopeful that they will click in the doubles.

Their opponents are ranked 66 and 120 (just missed out on a seeding) so let's hope so!

Feel for Heather, when you're in a funk you need a lot of luck. This week's draw isn't providing it
