Looks like Jodie, Emily A (SE?), Beth and ??? have got WC or other entries into the MD. Looks like there should be 1 or 2 others as well. Only Maia has direct entry into the MD.

I wondered why Emily Arbuthnott had not appeared in the Las Palmas Q draw while still appearing in the Q acceptances, now I know.

Yes Emily Arb got a qualifying WC for here. She was of course in the Woking doubles final today.

Tough looking appointment with the q1 seed for 15 yo Millie Bissett. Beth beat her 6-0 6-1 in the Wimbledon Q WC play-offs R1.

So there's two guaranteed British qualifiers - one from the Sam/Freya/Alice/Vicki quartet, and one from the Eden/Ella/Ola/Martina quartet

Alicia seeded to get through too.

Nice to see no BYES - Mel South will be pleased.

(1)Vlada Ekshibarova (ISR) v (wc)Amelia Bissett (GBR)
(12)Claudia Giovine (ITA) v (wc)Olivia Elliott (GBR)

(2)Elixane Lechemia (FRA) v Olga Helmi (DEN)
(14/wc)Emily Arbuthnott (GBR) v Iman Garshong (GBR)

(3)Samantha Murray (GBR) v Alice Gillan (GBR)
(9)Freya Christie (GBR) v Victoria Allen (GBR)

(4)Eden Silva (GBR) v Aleksandra Pitak (GBR)
(16)Ella Taylor (GBR) v Martina Paladini Jennings (GBR)

(5)Alicia Barnett (GBR) v (wc)Danielle Daley (GBR)
(13)Lou Adler (FRA) v (wc)Camille Verden Anderson (GBR)

(6)Mia Nicole Eklund (FIN) v Olga Puchkova (RUS)
(11)Ana Vrljic (CRO) v Tiffany William (GBR)

(7)Maria Gutierrez Carrasco (ESP) v Linnea Malmqvist (SWE)
(15)Mathilde Armitano (FRA) v Katarzyna Pitak (GBR)

(8)Lucia Bronzetti (ITA) v (wc)Tamara Malazonia (GBR)
(10)Anastasia Pivovarova (RUS) v Destinee Martins (GBR)

So 2 guaranteed to qualify as mentioned earlier. Alicia with a good chance and maybe Emily Arb although she does potentially have the 2nd seed in her way. Wonder who the 4th WC will be?

The 4th MDWC could/should be Sasha Hill.

Would be nice, but a relative (I assume) pretty much ruled that out on the Dublin thread with the below post:

"Sadly wild cards already issued- Wednesday before a tournament- SE not issued when its a different value event- $15-$25k - so not for Sasha this time"

Based on current rankings, both Jodie (458) and Beth (464) are higher ranked than Vlada Ekshibarova (495), the Q1 Seed, so will have made the main draw. Beth has had her 3 MDWC for the year, anyway.

It's the entry rankings rather than current rankings that determine who makes the main draw, you don't overtake players on that priority list.

So with Ekshibarova in the qualifying draw Maia is the only Brit that can be a direct entrant.

OER shows Beth has only had 1 points scoring MDWC this year - in Manchester? Where do you think she had the other two?

My guess on the 4th WC would be Fran. I can't see who else it could be. .

Other than MDWC at Manchester, the only other WC MS. Grey has had was a QWC at Ilkley.
I looked up the rule for the exact phrasing they use (ITF Women's Circuit IV.B.1), and it is, "may receive during a calendar year a maximum number of:"
You can have 6 singles WC of which a maximum of three can be in to MD; and the same allocation again for doubles.

I mention this, becuase if it actually operates on a rolling 52 week period, then Ms. Grey's MDWC for Chiswick last year would also count, meaning she has had 3 singles WC in the 52 week period: 2 MD, 1 Q

But, 'Calendar Year' to me indicates 2018, not 52 weeks rolling.

Either way, she has not had 3 MDWC under either system.
