So, Zheng retires at 7-5 4-0 in her match with Qiang Wang. I wouldn't rule her out withdrawing from DC yet and I think they could play on Wednesday if needed. If she does withdraw then that would open up a LL spot for one of the 4 losing Washington FQR competitors.

Although, literally a minute after I post that, Jason Jung retires so Donald Young advances.

Harriet will now follow Kalinina vs Chirico so will hopefully get on court before 10pm.

Kalinina has just won her match so Harriet should be about to start within the next 10 mins.

I see the top seed Bonaventure has just lost 6-1 6-0. Kiick may well have just been inspired playing in a home tournament, but I wonder if Ysaline has got wind of a LL spot opening up (potentially SaiSai Zheng) and assured of getting it as that is awful scoreline for her.

Ah right, shame for her as she reached the QF last year. I did a quick 'Bonaventure' search on Twitter and turns out that she had a MTO so that likely would have affected her game, unless tactical. May well be 2 LL slots opening up.
