Entries Week 31 - 30/07/18

Maia was 25th alt yesterday ! But there can easily be 60 or more withdrawals at the last minute, so I only look for certain players to see what there chances are of making the draws.

Well, the Woking entry list has certainly shifted along a lot since this morning! Maia has now moved right through the qualifying list and is in the main draw, Jodie is 3rd alt (from the MD), Beth 5th and Sam 6th. Others now in qualifying are Eden, Freya, Lissey, Emily Arb, and Ella Taylor. Emma Rad is 2nd alt, and then there are plenty of others on the alt list who could get into qualifying too now.

For Lexington, Gabi is now 8th on the entry list, Katy D 16th, and Emily WS is well into qualifying.

Nell Miller is in qualifying for the Fort Worth 25k.

There is a 15k in Dublin this week too for which Emily App is 2nd on the entry list, Alice Gillan, Tiff, and Mirabelle are in the MD. smile Plenty of UNR Brits in qualifying.. LTA please take note - does anyone there EVER look???!!! confuseconfuseconfusefuriousfurious

Fran is no longer in the Finland entry list.

Sharapova and another have withdrawn from San Jose so Hev and Azarenka get in directly.

Wow, big changes at Woking since I last looked. When the original entry list came out Emma Radacanu was 128 on the alt list, so there have been 126 withdrawals. And I can see a few possible late withdrawals high on the list as well - some 5th choices still there.

Good news about Hev - hope she can take advantage and get her summer back on track.
Good to see Nell in Fort Worth too.

This is the week of the mega prize money UTR tournament in the UK too - with the main draw being 2nd & 3rd August

The site says that the winner takes the £2500 top Prize and if the winner were a female, she would scoop £3250 for the title (i.e. the title prize plus the women's bonus).

That's a big pay packet.

Also says: Flexibility given to Ladies competing in the $25k UK event!

Decent British Entry at Woking now.
Maia and Jodie in main draw
Beth and Sam are sitting at Q2 and 3 so may move up.
9 others in qualifying by right, including all of the ranked players
The first 16 alts are all British - so there should be several of those getting in as well.

Unless he goes deep this week, don't be surprised to see Billy Harris turning up at qualifying for the Challenger in Spain.

Should be 4 GB players in the main draw plus another 4 wildcards now.
Ireland women is really weak with several non ranked players in the main draw.
