Out of interest, are itf women's qualifying draws always out on a Saturday or is this one later than usual?

It's really based on when qualifying starts Jon, since the draw comes out the evening before. They only have two days of qualifying in Manchester this week, according to the LTA tournament website, and are only starting the qualifying on Sunday, hence the draw is only out this evening. I suspect this is also partly to give them time to see who exactly is playing in Nottingham, and who isn't, because there are a quite a few people on the Manchester q list that have appeared in the Nottingham q draw!

If there is a sign in for qualifying, it may also be so that those now eligible for the Manchester qualifying know it in advance, and I assume they will also only allocate the q WCs after seeing the finalised Nottingham draw.

I'm hoping that the players know what's going on, it must be really hard to prep for playing mentally if you don't know. It's bad enough on the day to day tour having to book accommodation every night. I remember sitting with Jade and her mum one tournament when she was trawling the internet for cheap local places to stay that night after she won a match. We criticise easily, and it's the life they've chosen, but it's not easy lower down the ranks, she was at around the same ranking as this bunch at the time.

Katy Dunne, Sam Murray, Emily A and Emma Raducanu awarded main draw WCs.
Katy should be in the main draw as a direct entrant?

Beth gets the freed up wild card.

Loads of Brits but wouldn't expect any qualifiers. Em has drawn the Georgian girl who beat her last week seeded 8th, which as the 9th ranked girl in the draw is a bit frustrating.

Good news with Beth getting the WC, so 6 in the main draw.

4 all GB 1QR ties so obviously 4 of those will advance and pick up points, including Barnett who basically has a bye. It's a shame how Alicia and EWS, who were probably our only realistic hopes of advancing have the top seed (Asia Muhammed who pushed Boulter all the way last week) in their section and even the younger Pitak drawing the #2 seed. Would have been better if it was Bektas, the #3 seed who lost to Ella last week as their top seed, but not to be.

Not familiar with some of those GB girls, but maybe half a chance for the likes of French to win a match.

17 brits in qualifying for a 100K ! That's good to see. Looks like Holly Hutchinson at 12th Alt on the entry list is the last one in.
Nice to see Beth getting a WC as well as Katy, Sam, Emily and Emma.
Anyone know if Laura R has withdrawn - looking at the qualifying, I would assume she has.

7 in main draw. Naomi, Harriet and Katy plus the 4 wildcards.

Completely forgot about Naomi who will probably be one of the favourites at home in a not too strong field.

Weaker field than Surbiton (as there's more grass competition), so think it's only the Brits, Kumkhum and Brady who can keep the potential wildcard 'in-house'.

Eden Richardson is in the 26th and last direct entry spot by the order of the entry list of those in qualifying from 18th Alt, but there are only 2 WCs so I guess everyone that signed in down to Ghodrati at 29th alt got in directly. Popescu and Miller are not in the draw but would have got in directly. A missed opportunity I feel.

There are a few GB players picking up points here and a couple who will take a heavy beating.
Lissy, Summer, Eden and Louise look to have straight forward matches.

Thanks, I missed Eden and Lily, saw that Nell and Anna weren't in the draw.

Its a shame that Ola Pitak doesnt have as good a draw as her older sister and others... but thems the breaks and it is a 100K after all.
