Not sure if Im making this up but I think I read somewhere about Evo playing a few weeks in Tunisia. Looks to be a sizeable group of Brits over there which might make sense.

I think somewhere in the Evo thread on the players pages, someone speculated that playing in a series of the weekly hardcourt futures events in Tunisia or Turkey might be a good way back in, but I think it was just someone musing on options. Since then of course the two new Challengers have come in, but whether he plans to play in between those I guess we dont know at this stage...

I thought that it was highly probable from one of his interviews after Glasgow that he was going to do at least one other tourney before Loughbrough.

Is Jay not playing this week?

No Jay is leaving the States after this week, and heading back to Europe. Is on a few challenger alt lists the following week.

Yes, I think we'll allow Jay one week off

He's currently taking part in his 6th week in a row in the Americas then as indicated no doubt back in Europe for one challenger in week 20 before French Open qualifying. In truth he might have consideted skipping current week 18 in Savannah but no doubt a young man with plenty of energy. Hope he now goes deep then enjoys a few days at least relatively off before getting ready for his European challenger.

In terms of Evo, one source (telegraph?) said it likely he would play one week in Tunisia now he had gone out at Glasgow, but I dont think it is substantiated; and in his interview he suggested he needed more court time, so I think it developed from there...we will see.

He would need a wildcard assuming he didn't enter.

It's undersubscribed so I am sure that Evo can at least get into qualifying.

He would waltz through qualies give him some practice basically which might be a good idea to get games under his belt. He basically ran out of steam against Miedler.

It's a 32 main draw and a 64 qualifying draw, but there are only 17 + 32 on the acceptance list, so should be plenty of room, even if they scrap QR1
