Week 16 - Challenger ($75,000+H) - Nana Trophy, Tunis, Tunisia (clay)

L32:  Corentin Moutet (FRA) 147 (CH = 135 in February) vs Liam Broady WR 154 (= CH)

The top seed, Vesely, awaits in the second round, if Liam wins that one.

Not forgetting that Vesely retired 0-5 down to Kyle in Morocco this week, so that could easily change.

I'm not sure what has happened to Mergea, but on clay especially that looks like an excellent win.

Indeed it does.  biggrin  They'll have a bit of a wait to discover whom  they'll face in the semi-final, as one of the first round matches in the third quarter won't be played until later today!

Good stuff

Seems to adapt well to different partners. If you go back to also take in his last challenger final with David O'Hare at the beginning of April last year, that's now 11 challenger finals in 13 months with 8 different partners.

Slightly surprisingly to me 3 have been with Brydan, 2 have been with Luke which somehow never really appeared to be going to be a long term thing, and the other 6 all with different partners.

Can't help but feel that very good and adaptable as he may be, a settled partnership that clicked would be good for him to really achieve at a higher level.

I see Eysseric's in Budapest next week, playing alongside his compatriot, Lucas Pouille.
