Marcus has had his 5 minutes of fame. His singles career is certainly over he doesnt have the fitness or effort for that. Doubles on the other hand doesnt really require this so would be the easy option for him.

He has been signed up for the SanDiego Aviators in the World Team Challenge, alongside Naomi Broady, which will put a few quid in his pocket. Managed by one John Lloyd ....how else would he get picked.
