Draws out. Tara just the top seed this week, by one place. Not a great draw for Alicia, but she should still be in with a good shout.

In the doubles Tara is playing with Eleni Kordolaimi (GRE) again this week. They are the #1 and #2 seeds in the singles and top seeds in doubles.

Alicia is playing with Julia Terziyska (BUL) and they are 3rd seeds. Both pairs are in the same half of the draw.

Tomorrow, both have their first round doubles matches up, singles wait until Wed.

The tournament for the two Brits in Sharm this week is now underway. Alicia and Julia have just won their first round doubles comfortably 6-4 6-2 against the Japanese WC pair, whilst Tara and Eleni had a much tougher first set. They were behind a break until half way through, and then after evening the set, they got the crucial break themselves at the end to win 7.5. Second set they are a break up, score 7-5 *2-1.

Tara first up this morning and wins comfortably - the last 11 games in a row, though she did waste several MPs and then had a BP against her in the final game, before hauling it back 6-2 6-0

Alicia follows on the same court, next but one.
