Thanks Seagull - just one minor thing. I think Doha is a premier 5 event this year (along with Rome, Montreal, Cinci and Wuhan) and then of course the 4 Premier Mandatory events, according to the calendar on the WTA site, with Dubai down as a "premier" . the Doha prizemoney isnt showing but if it is a Premier 5 it will be lot more than $735k, probably around $2-$3m I guess and with a very strong entry.

I might be wrong in blindly trusting the WTA site of course!!

www.wtatennis.com/calendar

According to WTF, Jo is down as 8th in the entry list

I see Jo and Heather or both in Indian Wells list as well a few weeks later. good stuff

I was thinking qualifying would be this week with the main draw starting next week

I like James a lot and am very happy he is on the way back but, by crikey, he does get some wild cards dosen't he!

I'm hoping to get to the New York event tomorrow but it's in a very odd place and not so easy on a Sunday by 11am. At least 2 hours from where I live in Brooklyn. It's very much New York State and not New York City.

have fun. From what I can see on Web it is an arena that hosts the long Island nets basketball team and holds 12,000 folks. Will they fill that size stadium for this event?!
