i am a little confused here! Did James and Cerretani beat their Thai opponents in L16 or L8? Or did they indeed end up playing them 3 or more times?!

 Gong is Chinese but Peng is from Taipei.

The timings are easily explained by the fact that I repeatedly - & conspicuously - failed to notice that I hadn't changed the rounds when I copied & pasted the pairings until Indy put them right!
