Week 2 - WTA International ($227K) - Hobart, Australia Hard

Getting worried when 5-0 became 5-4 [thanks for the coverage murrayman :)] so very relieved, like seagull, that it got no closer!
Great to see Heather in the SFs and channelling her 2015 self here :D

Thanks for the racket info Jaffa; here's hoping this return to Dunlop continues to work as well for Heather throughout 2018 :)

Wonderful result to wake up in amongst some poor ones today! Happy days.

128 points a great haul as well!

Heather up to world #68 in the live rankings; 2 more wins here would see her top 50 again. Go, Heather :)

... apparently as long as Camila Giorgi doesn't win the Sydney Premier title. WR 51 would do for now though

An excellent reason for not backing Camila in Sydney ! And has anyone ever seen CG smile on court, even when she's won ?

Heather served well enough; Mertens served better, particularly on second delivery, 4-6

Hev absolutely battered her in the second set, with the backhand on fire.
Third set Elise served well and mixed it up pace wise and Hev kept making mistakes of the ball where the pace was taken off.

That's a pity; really thought Heather was going to lift the title this week.
Top 50 will have to wait a little longer then (regardless of what Giorgi does in Sydney!)...

A good performance just couldn't quite get it done. Elise deserved the win on this occasion.

A super week for Hev and encouraging signs for the rest of the season.
