Hugely impressive win for the first-time pairing of Beth and Sam. Their opponents were seeded 4 and, earlier in the year, scored a 1st round win at Roland Garros against the 11 seeds-Groenefeld and Peschke.

Not to be against the top seed. Beth saved a whole clutch of match points in the final game, but never made inroads on her opponents serve.
Tremendous performance though

That's a fine effort indeed for Beth, she seems to have came on a bit last couple of months and playing as a 400-500 ranked player regularly now. Be good if she kept playing for the next few weeks ending the year well. Good platform to push on next year.

Looks as if Beth will be playing the three 15k's in Britain - in the main draw list for the first two, but even with last weeks points added won't quite make seeding.
