So in various ways all GB singles interest has ended here this week.

Even if Klein purchased every ticket in a raffle, he would not win.

Very few people do.  The outcome is completely random.  That's why it's called a raffle!  wink

But presumably not random if you buy EVERY ticket in the raffle - which is what Vandy was saying.....

Cam's up to a career-high Nelson (111) in today's rankings.  smile

Nice article by Paul Hirst about Cam in today's Times under the heading "Meet the Briton who has climbed 1,000 ranking places in two years".  There are all sorts of intersting little titbits about his background & this comment:

Norrie's accent is somewhere between Kiwi and English, with a hint of American.  But there is no doubt for him about his nationality.  "I'm 100 per cent British," he says.  "My mum was born in Cardiff.  All her side are Welsh and my dad's side is all Scottish."

Apparently, he expects to leave Texas & base himself in England before the start of the grass court season.

GSCE probability question trips up coup droit.......

Given your strategy with predictions, it could be argued that 'buying every ticket in the raffle' is something you know quite a lot about

Err, not Coup Droit who was merely explaining the workings.

QF:  (Q) Liam Broady & Jay Clarke CR 931 (651+280) vs (WC) Akram el Sallaly & Bernardo Oliveira (EGY/BRA) UNR

At the risk of putting the mockers on their chances, I rather fancy their chances there.

Looks like some games from today are being cancelled. I assume this is due to the wildfire issues.

This has been an utterly pants tournament, full of disappointments on a daily basis for GBR, and I hope never to hear the word Fairfield again as long as I live.disbelief
