Carolna Bulatovic is not really at the same level as Fran, generally junior ITF grade 4 qualys standard

FQR: JONES, Francesca (GBR) (q4) 1118 def. GEURTS, Liv (NED) WC UNR 6-2 6-1

R1: JONES, Francesca (GBR) (q) 1118 v [4] GEUKENS, Britt (BEL) WR 537

Geukens seems to have a ranking that is very much based on a successful spate of futures in Sharm at the back end of last year. But not a whole heap of success since then....Emily W-S beat her easily in Feb. of this year. And she took three close sets to beat Tiff William in Portugal a couple of months back.

Does anyone have any idea what Frans plans are likely to be long term, my gut feeling is she will just go for it!

Very tidy, Fran.

Unlike Geukens who, as above, seems to have a very 'fragile' ranking, Uzcategui seems to be a slightly stronger player with a good run last week in the 25k, beating a top 300 player to make the quarters, and a long time without tournaments, having not played between Feb. and June, so obviously not with the normal amount of points she'd have got otherwise.

Good job, CD, another one for my geographically challenged list of blunders....

Maia+ DID waltz through her doubles - but, indeed, over in Poland ....
