Shapovalov has apparently withdrawn with fatigue!  Fritz now plays the Zimbabwean qualifier, Takanyi Garanganga.

Not suprised Andy suffered with his conditioning as a teenager, there aren't many youngsters who do deep enough in ATP tournaments to have such a problem. He will be a star but at the moment he is just a talented kid.

It is shame for the tournament, the home crowd would have loved to have seen him. I'm sure they could have scheduled a Wednesday match for him, should have given him enough time to recover....

Pity. But in addition to last week's Masters run to the SF he has US Open qualifying next week - unless they give him a MD WC for that.

After a less than ideal first set, Liam has held at the start of the second.

Wins the 3rd set 6-4 after leading 5-1.

After a good showing last week always good to back it up with at least another win this week.

Always the danger of an "after the Lord Mayor's Show" performance following on from last week, so an excellent fight back and a few more points into the bargain. Next one will be tough though.

How encouraging for Liam winning the same matches he might have lost last year. Well done

6 breaks in 10 games so far - Sela just served for the 1st set at *5-4 but Liam made it 3-3 in breaks to stay in it. He has now held serve and will receive for the set ... 6-5*
