Good luck Jo - too late for me sadly.

4-1 up. As per - going for everything. Domi served a few double faults to hand her the break. Looking sharp though.

Broken back. Too few first serves and too many forehand errors. 1-1.

2-2. I'm not sure I've seen Jo hit so many groundstrokes into the net. Not playing terribly, just a few more errors than you would like.

Domi ahead 3-2. Looks much more solid now and serving better. Jo will need to up for first serve % and make sure she gets the first strike in.

As an aside, Domi constantly being told off for taking too much time.

Chances chances chances. Still on serve though. Domi now 4-3 up and looks the better player in this set.

She digs in and digs out the game to go 4-4, then in a tight one breaks Domi! She'll serve for it at *5-4.

Does it to love! 6-3 6-4.

Great win. When you consider that Venus said these were some of the slowest hard courts she'd played on, this is a good win and few matches for Joko. She'll play Halep, who you gotta think is probably pretty sick of playing Jo at this point.

Not been watching but Cincinnati is traditionally fairly quick, so really changed it ?

PS: At further rain delay in the second set of Isner vs Tiafoe ( Isner 7-6(4) 4-4* up ) Isner has so far served 21 aces and Tiafoe 8. Now I realise we're talking Isner but still ... Maybe Venus meant slowest "for Cincinnati"? Or are they indeed genuinely slow? Actually on also looking at the Karlovic vs Tsonga serve stats from the previous round I doubt it quite apart from Karlovic winning that match and still being around.
