I think he is playing Holland next week.

Oops.

Or there again, he isn't. He was down to play but withdrew 3 days ago so I doubt today's doubles in Belgium had anything to do with it.

Once again, Billy is battling hard against a higher ranked opponent. One set all and into a decider now having shared the 1st two 4-6 6-2

Reward for the winner is an R2 tie against a qualifier ranked outside the top 1000 who took out a local WC in R1.

Very competitive again but not to be. This is why every point is so important at the moment. Billy was one place off being seeded and if he can just break into that bracket, he will avoid 1st round matches like this.

Pity, he was battling well. Looks like the long game where Billy eventually broke back for *2-3 took a bit too much effort.

He's just got to stay fit long enough to grind out a few extra wins and the rank that will get him seeded at least the closeness of the result is consistent with being able to perform as a 5-8 seed!

The two extra points at the start of next week will get him up 20 places or so and may well take care of getting at least a lowly seeding, in some draws.

I've been to this town before, just down the road from Dunkirk, talking of which, what a load of garbage that movie was.

I loved it, not too good for those that need to be told a story or don't want to know he was ending but like a vast canvass Nolan sketches and then paints the miraculous evacuation, unfolding it in front of you.

Vandy once you've knocked out a few Batman movies and grossed 4.5 Billion Hollywood may let you have a crack at making your own blockbuster version of gunnerside. You could draft SC in as the caretaker, I understand he's got new glasses and could method act.
