Freddie Nielsen's lurking in the top half of the draw.  Wonder who his doubles partner will be.  wink

 I'm intrigued now, who?!

Jon, I've absolutely no idea.  That's why I posed the question.  I can see, on reflection, that the wink probably gave the impression that I had inside knowledge.  Sadly, I haven't.  Sorry if I misled you.

Freddie isn't even in the doubles, what a miss for someone!  But he did qualify for singles though.

Only watched the last two games. But that's a great win for Liam really seems to be going in the right direction at the moment.

That's as good as I've seen him play in a very long time. Well done that man.

Well done, Liam. He certainly has seemed to be finding some momentum since Wimbledon and that looks a very good win. Good to see

That was impressive from Liam, I also tuned in at start of 3rd set. Needs 2 more wins to get back in the top 300.

I was expecting more than one Brit in qualies here. I realise Cam must have secured a special exempt place bu I wonder what happened to Lloyd.

Looks like Lloyd has returned to Europe and is planning to play some 15ks

I had been following Kyle's score on live scores and was pretty depressed at the end. Also saw a tweet somewhere that Liam was a set down. So after a long drive home from the office, it has really cheered me up to see that Liam has pulled off another very impressive win. Now if he an just pull of another couple of wins and go deeper into one of these tournaments, we will really begin to see the rankings rise that his recent form has merited.

Well played Liam. And thanks for cheering me up.

Next up for Liam will be the winner between (Alt) Joris de Loore WR 223 and (WC) John Lamble WR 880. There have been worse draws for R2 of a Challenger, but when you have taken out a Top 100 player in R1, you deserve a decent draw for the next round.

Go Liam.

The rankings rise is coming, I feel. I haven't checked but seem to think Liam's race position is at least 40-50 places above his current ranking, and most of those race points seem to have come in the last couple of months. Keep going Liam!
