Just a note, how good is Denis Shapovalov! Amazing results!

So good - and so much fun to watch. He has that assurance and 'flow' that separates the 'quite good' from the 'really quite good'. Hope he goes far. And hurrah for the Canadian crowd, too. If you've seen any of the video from the match, it sounded like a Davis Cup towards the end.

And got to have a little shout out for Shapo and the Canadian crowd - the 18 year-old (who played so well and was so much fun at Queens) now puts out Rafa, keeps Andy at no. 1 for another week at least, gets the crowd positively going into hyperspace, and produces a thriller. Along with Sacha's antics, these kids are doing well Bravo.

He was brilliant last night. Really likeable chap.

So pleased for him. Going to be interesting to watch his progress. And after that Davis Cup incident - rather unthinking but damnably unlucky ( OK, unlucky for the umpire too! ) with the radar like efficiency the ball went straight for that eye - he seemed to deal with it maturely and has moved on very well.

Ferrer is basically a grinder/pusher, and most players with talent can blow him off the court. I fancy Edmund in this one.

Just wanted to congratulate Ferrer on ousting Thiem, 6-3 6-3, and making the semis of the Masters 1000 at Cincinnati
