Looking back at the stats, Hamou just won 6 points in the second set with his one point on return being a Billy DF. Billy only got 38.5% first serves in (5/13) so clearly had some wicked second serves . The set was over in 16 minutes ( including these Billy second serves ), completing the 43 minute match.

Back to the present ...

When I went out, Billy was a set and a break down. Glad to see he is still in the match. One thing has been confirmed and that is the match is outside, as it has been interrupted by rain.

Billy at 2-6 6-3 2-4* 30-15*

Billy's match is still showing as interrupted but the next match on the same court has already started. That match is Charlie's doubles final. I am guessing this one has been moved indoors.

Charlie/+ are 2-1* up in the opener.

One of the most emphatic scorelines I've ever seen on a career best ranking scalp!

Looks like the rain came just in time, as Billy had just lost the last four games.

To be honest, I assumed on the basis of the comments on Billy's match that all play had been rained off.  Clearly wrongly.  Cracking result for Charles & Colin.  biggrin

I'm guessing they moved this one indoors.
