All GB ties are a nightmare from a fans perspective as we have said before, but in this case, I am glad that Billy won the singles. Nothing against Charlie, whom I met in La Manga a couple of years back and of course I would love to see him do well. But Charlie is at US college and so his points tally/ranking at the moment is pretty meaningless. The experience he is gaining is much more relevant at the moment. His ranking will be something for us to follow once his college days are over.

Billy, on the other hand, needs points. He is now entering the ranking level that will see him seeded at some 15ks and that makes a big difference, so right now, every point counts.

Let's hope that Mr Hamou implodes and Billy can add further to his tally.
