lots of youngsters got into qualifying, some will get points. Olivia French is a new name to me.

Slightly surprised Sam Murray didn't get a wildcard

Naomi will be seeded, Gaby and Harriet should be in direct

Wildcards seem to have gone to Katy Dunne, Katie Swan, Katie Boulter and 1 other - Jodie, Fran or Emily App

Sam Murray never gets WCs, she's too 'old' (to be clear: I don't agree with that!)

15 Brits in the Q draw in total. Katie Swan must have a wild card, Gaby, Harriet and Katy were all above Raina on the entry list so could all have scraped in at the last minute - I imagine the first two definitely did and Katy might have. Katie Boulter wasn't on the original entry list so can only play if she has a wild card.

The only other unaccounted for players in the GB top 25 who might have been expected to be in qualifying are Jodie Burrage and Emily Appleton, so possible wild cards:

Katie B (unless injury is the reason she's not in Nottingham)
Katy (hopefully scraped in without one)
Katie S
Jodie B
Emily A
+ 1 other if Katie B isn't playing and Katy didn't need one

I think this is 14 year old Holly Staff's first ITF event.

As far as I can tell, she played just one tournament on the British Tour this year (other than juniors), winning the Bolton Tier 2 event as a qualifier. 5 wins, plus a walkover in the final.
One to look out for.
