Yet more brilliant stuff from Jay. Would be great to see him finish the week off by taking his first title, before Willbomb arrives to steal the show next week  wink

SF:  (5) Jay Clarke WR 734 defeated Dominic Weidinger (AUT) WR 841 by 0 & 4  smile

*****

Final:  (5) Jay Clarke WR 734 vs Laslo Urrutia (CHI) WR 875 (CH = 690 in October 2012)

The Chilean saw off Igoshin (3) in three...

I'm guessing that Jay Clarke is now going to be in the top 20 18 and under: number 19 was on 39 points when I most recently looked. Quite an amazing Autumn.

Sadly, Jay couldn't quite pull off the double:

Final:  (4) Chandril Sood & Laksh1t Sood (IND/IND) CR 2398 (931+1467) defeated Curtis Clarke & Jay Clarke UNR (0+1665) by 3 & 2  cry

Still another great week for him.

Yay, great stuff, Jay, more and more impressive

30 points of his now 35 points ( so far ) have been added in 8 counters from the beginning of October.

If I'm not mistaken, you've managed to change this post without it showing up as being edited. wink

Is that one of the 'sneaky perks' of being a mod ? smile

I think everyone has a hide edited by button below the text box.

I might be missing it (as has been said, I am the world's worst at tech) but I can't see one....

Not that it's meant seriously or matters

I'm with you on that one CD.  I haven't got one (or can't find it) either.

Maybe it is a mod perk then.

Yes it is.  But I promise not to use it in any 'sneaky' way

I will probably quite often do it in my own posts for typos or, as here, further thoughts re a post ( here quite soon after the oiriginal ) before anyone else had added - purely to hide my own failings. But not to retrospectively change a position particularly after reply(s). Then if I do change it will be shown as per usual and often highlighted. And it has other practical uses.

Can't get away with anything here

He's also going to be GB #1 on Monday week. OK, in the new race ( points added since 14/11 )  - so perhaps not quite as noteworthy. Still ...

1. Jay C : 24 ( and possible 8 more from the final here )

2. Neil P : 21

3. Cam N : 20

Another break each sees the 1st set finely balanced at 4-4

This time Jay goes a break down at 4-5* but then breaks back. 6 breaks in 10 games.

Jay *5-5

After 3 breaks apiece, the 1st set heads into a tie break.

First set down the pan by 6-7(8).  cry  He had his chances - SPs at 6-5* & plenty more in the tie-break itself - but just couldn't kill Urrutia off,  hmm
