Sadly Emily Smith and partner of Vanderbilt were replaced as #1 seeds by an alternate pair.  Assume one of them must have a niggle because their results in the team competition were surprisingly poor.

You may recognise the name of one of the opposing pair - Erin R partnered Laura Robson to the final of a 60K in Granby a year or so ago.

Pretty good college career for Jack. He must be very pleased. Finishing his college tennis career in the top 16 players to qualify for the NCAA singles tournament. Also had a great run in Tulsa in the fall battling through qualifying to end up runner up in the ITA all American doubles.

He was number 1 for North Florida as a Freshman, I just wonder whether from a tennis perspective playing in the Atlantic sun was the correct choice for him. Admittedly he only had a junior ITF CH of 910 but if he had managed to get to a power conference college I think he would have had more opportunity.

Jacksonville is a great place to play tennis, unlike most other parts of the US he would also have lots of opportunity to play on clay, but I just wonder what options he had on the table when choosing where to go to college?

Unless things have changed since the days of the Skupskis, I think that Mr Findel-Hawkins'reaching the QFs means that he qualifies for All-American status. Or maybe I've got the wrong tournament?

Interesting that there wasn't much in it at the end when you compare Holly and Emily's ranking with Holly playing at No1 and Emily at 5 respectively.

Next year will see a big change with 3 of the top 4 British men moving on. Julian Cash will hopefully push on getting another season playing No1 in a strong programme and hopefully Ali G at TCU with Ben Draper and Jack Molloy getting opportunities at Cal to make their mark.

I've looked up the criteria, and as far as I can tell, Emily Smith and Julian Cash will be 'All-American' in doubles, and Cameron Norrie and Jack Findel-Hawkins in singles. Both Jack F-H and Julian Cash came very close to 'doing the double' - JFH is six places off in doubles, and Julian Cash 10 places off in singles.

Yes you are right Spectator.  I haven't put them up though as I'm waiting for their official press release, just in case I miss somebody out, but I thought it would be up by now.  There's also an All-Star Team of 6 singles players and 3 dubs pairs to be announced and I would have thought Cam and Emily S would make that as well.
