Pretty good draw! Would give James a decent chance of qualifying here...

Not too bad a draw for a 500. Would expect James to put up a fight, at least.

Really, really good draw for James. If he gets through his seemingly very easy first round he will likely play Albert Ramos who is an out and out clay courter.

The latter makes perfect sense:  he's  a valenciano according to this page on the TeniSpain site.  It's unusual for a Spaniard to use his/her matronymic, although García's such a common surname (the Spanish Smith or Jones) that I guess he felt it was slightly less so, a bit like Federico García Lorca, in fact... wink

Not a bad draw but FQR will be harder whether it is Ramos or Cervantes

I really cannot begin to express how hacked off I am right now. Wardy and Muzza playing in my "local" tournament, and here I am stuck in Brazil. I am not a happy bunny.

Anyway, good luck to them both and any doubles players that turn up. I will be there in spirit, even if not in person.

Maybe next year.

I really feel for you Bob. How awful it must be for you to be in Brazil.

It should be the easiest 10pts of his life.

James is already 3-0 up.

I can totally empathize, I had to fly out to Brazil this year during Wimby. I left home after the women's final and got to my hotel near the first set of the mens - talk about surreal. I ended up watching the rest of the men's final on my hotel room bed with the sound turned off but Wimbledon radio on for the commentary. Unfortunately I was so knackered from my flight I kept drifting off during it

Internet isn't the best out there so streams are hard to watch as I found out during the USO
