Week 40 - Sweden F6 ($15,000) - Jönköping (Hard - indoors)

It looks like Joe has made the main draw. Kivanda is in the qualies as an alternate. Ed and Josh Milton should be seeded. And Lewis is playing too. (NB also happy to see Joe's partner, Irishman O'Hare is the quali singles this week too).

Edit:  just adding the accents! wink

Well, apart from Josh Milton v Lewis, this seems a pretty nice draw (and, even for them, at least it guarantees one of them a point).

R1: (1) Ed Corrie WR 269 v Lucas Renard (SWE) WR 834 (CH 672)

R1: (4) Josh Milton WR 376 v Lewis Burton WR 726

R1: (q) Sizya Kivanda UNR v (q) Christian Samuelsson (SWE) UNR

R1: Joe Salisbury WR 1213 v (q) Eric Ahren Moonga (SWE) UNR

the winner of the second and third matches play each other in R2.

Lewis and Ed going for yet another doubles title . . . (going get The Monopolies Commission involved in this if Ed keeps winning)

Joe playing with O'Hare (who's also qualified in the singles).

Didn't face a single break point, which is always nice:

Good - Joe should be a lot higher ranked than he currently is.

Absolutely.

Anyone who's only played 6 months (or not even) of the year obviously has a false ranking.

At the very least one should be able to factor up the points, as though it were for a full year, and that will give a starting point.

Ed won the first set 6-3, but is a break down in the second
