L32: Emily Webley-Smith WR 344 v (Q) Tamarine Tanasugarn (THA) WR 697 (CH 19 in 2002)

H2H 0-1 - 37-year-old Tanasugarn won 2 & 0 in Kurume earlier this year.

The winner is likely to play the top seed in R2.

All in all, a pretty appalling draw

It's the second serve that's being taken apart. In her last two service games she got 3 first serves in and that's why this set got away from her after a great start.

Will be tough to get back into this especially as they are now indoors (which Em hates) but it still feels like Em is keeping her better level that she's shown since Wimbledon

Em was able to keep her first serve percentage much more steady throughout that set, and was rewarded. Good job.
