I just heard that Ryan had his ankle operated on today. All went well, seemingly, and a nasty chip of bone that was floating around was removed which, hopefully, was the source of the pain.

The lad deserves a break - that ankle has been holding him back and, as with all long-term injuries, it's just such a shame and eats into your confidence too.

So fingers crossed for a speedy recovery, Ryan ! Rooting for you .....

Just to say how good it is to see Ryan playing again, with a win the British Tour event in Billesley.

He's been out for the last four months or so following an ankle op, and his ankle had been causing him a lot of grief before that too.

Do so hope that it's all behind him now and that 2019 is an injury-free, successful year !

I notice that Ryan is playing in the UTR Pro Match Series Exhibition event tonight. He seems to have been away a long time?

I think CD has been tracking Ryan's progress in another thread over on the general discussions section

I put up the results in the UTR thread - it says UTR events (in Britain) but I've taken it to be all UTR events that involve Brits coz it doesn't seem sensible having two separate ones. (Blu Baker's been playing there this week too)

Ryan's had a long spate of injures. Really unlucky. Ankle and elbow, I believe.

As you say, it would be just wonderful if he was fully recovered.

He's still pretty young - just needs a nice injury-free run to give himself a chance.

Here's congrats to Ryan for having won the doubles 25k title in France two weeks ago with Ali Gray.

And, this week, his first ITF singles win in over 2 years, I make it.

Good to have him back. Here's hoping he's fit and can stay injury-free.

After his first singles win in Lord knows how long, Ryan has now made the final of the 15k in Bulgaria.

He has one previous 15 title, I believe, from Ghana, back in 2019.

And made the 15k final in Dublin before that.

Injuries, covid, whatever, means he's been out of action for quite a while.

Good luck to him tomorrow.

And Ryan takes the 15k title in Sozopol.

He's been amazingly patient, and gritty, struggling with all those injuries.

Just great to see him back.

Great news. Well done indeed. Horrible to see all those injuries with tennis players
