R1: WATSON, Heather (GBR) 7 57 v MLADENOVIC, Kristina (FRA) 102 (H2H 2-2 Kristina in 2009 and 2012 and Heather twice in 2011)

 

I hope this is right, it's hard to get information from the WTA site at present.

Correct according to the ATP live scoreboard. Not on schedule for 20th or 21st.

Also playing doubles with Panova. First round against Jovanowski and Kovinic.

Mladenovic has hardly won a game all year, so good chance for Hev to make progress, with Vekic or a qualify next and Nara a potential QF.

A decent run in the doubles will put Hev close to Joss and Anna with 1pts to replace. Playing Jovanovski and Kovinic

With updated rankings (Kiki's has risen quite a lot after reaching the semis in Istanbul!)

L32: (7) Heather Watson WR 57 v Kristina Mladenovic (FRA) WR 81 (CH 36 in 2013)

H2H 3-3 (2-2 in seniors, as described by Peter above)

Kiki on her day is definitely a big danger, BUT as paulisi said she is generally speaking having a shocking year interspersed with some performances more akin to what you would expect. I blame it on her playing too much doubles. So Hev should win but I'd put it with an asterisk ( assuming Kiki doesn't hit top form).

Just happy to see Hev back in WTAs on merit and even seeded. After her GF I was worried that it would take a long time to return but she's done very well this year.
