Presumably due to the injury she had in Slovakia?

Emma has not entered Qualifying in Guadalajara. She will need a wild card to enter unless 14 players withdraw smile

Currently showing on Darts as 13th alternate for main draw.

She has a confirmed WC: https://twitter.com/WTAGuadalajara/status/1575570426071502848?t=xL3SuQFrmrIdtmzsy-E-6Q&s=19

Emma doesnt appear to be in the final Guadalajara field So must have given up that wildcard. A little disingenuous of the tournie to publicise that and not have her play.

I have to say it is a weak field for a masters. the qualies draw had lots of pull outs last minute and includes a couple of low ranked doubles players. Any of our Brits could have got in and even stood a chance of qualifying and some ok money

Can't see how that's the tournament's fault - they gave her a wildcard, she accepted, they publicise it (naturally) and then she withdraws? I can't see how that's disingenuous of them (it's not Emma's fault either, if she's injured)

My post was from the end of Sept, a lot has changed and can change in that time. Have the tournament been promoting Emma since she w/d or gave up the WC? Because that would be disingenuous. But I don't think that's what happened.

And at least you didn't wake up as Mrs Kwarteng, or Mr Truss, and think: "Gor blimey, what on earth am I going to say to my other half this morning? Umm, do you fancy getting a takeaway tonight?"

There's always a bright side

 Hahaha!

as an aside , apparently 20 Tory MPs had a big Indian takeaway meal the other night plotting what to do about this mess - being called the Poppadom Plot , seriously !

anyway , yes, your comment made me smile!

As an aside also , we lorded it a bit when Truss and Sunak ran off for PM. Both did PPE at Oxford and I think
Im correct that they both got 2:1 degrees which is
Very laudable of course. My son completed his PPE degree in 2019 and got a first at Oxford, and we know what he is like , so it made
My wife and I shudder for the future
Of the country !
