I hope JDP has a decent protected ranking that he can use when needed. He's currently ranked 757 on the basis of 23 points from Queens in 2019 and 5 points from Madrid - also in 2019. I'm sure he'll get wild cards wherever he wants to play though.

What are the wild card rules - can a slam winner or player ranked at a certain level get unlimited , as Andy seems to, or are there specific limits?

Added Andy for Rotterdam, Ryan appears to have withdrawn from India and tidied Shrewsbury a little.

Freya is owed one, isn't she? I would have thought Birmingham would be her one of choice, being nearest to home.

Yes, Freya has one to use in either Birmingham or Glasgow. Id be surprised if Mimi or Lauryn get a WC. Mimi, being under 16, is only allowed 3 WCs before her birthday in October, and having received a qWC in Loughborough would only have 1 left if she got one in Birmingham. Lauryn has already had 2 MDWCs, and 1 here would leave her with just the extra 25K to 100K MD WC she earned for winning a match as a MDWC in Bath. With women limited to 3 MDWCs in 25K to 100K (plus up to 3 merited increase MDWCs) and 76 MDWC places available in womens GB 25K to 100Ks this year (assuming 3 grass 100Ks) they are going to have to be spread around quite a bit.

I think the only one confirmed was Nottingham alongside a WTA250. With the rest TBC. Youd imagine some news soon if they are going to happen.

Hope Surbiton is back on, always enjoy my trips there.

yeah, that is what I thought - now there are no restrictions and CHallengers are taking place all over the world, and we are doing lots of Futures events, it would seem strange not to hold them, unless they are taking a financial view of them not being viable?

Id have thought though they still are and we have a number of players like Liam, Jack, Harriet, Katie Swan etc who would get into this level of event and do well?

Yeah it is interesting the reasons they might not happen. The few years when the challengers got messed around with 4 player q draws coincided with increasing the level from I think 80k to 100k or something like that they became a lot less beneficial to British players as the Q draws were no longer stacked with Brits and the main draws attracting a lot of players were we had no one in the rankings. Hopefully with the Q draws up to 24 now this will help make the more open to the Brits.

Re the above. As previously mentioned in another thread the womens 100K in Ilkley is on the feed up WC list for the winner and RU of the girls 18U Nationals, but not the boys.

Amazing when you look at the difference of the men's and women's this week.

Women's Birmingham 25k has eight players in the top 300, and fifteen in the top 400 !

(Compare that to Bath, with only one in the top 300, and only two in the top 400)

Men's Shrewsbury 25k has ZERO in the top 300 and five in the top 400

Beth and Sam are third on the acceptance list for the W60 doubles in Grenoble.
Lissy and Liv are fourth.
