Nice one cya, wasn't aware of those official standings. They must know that some of those aren't playing next week then. Mind, they blatantly can't add up because they have Holly S down as 8 points in week 2 (which she did get), but then 6 as her overall total, and had Emily Ap down as beating Alice yesterday on Twitter, plus various other mistakes over the course of the series (Eden-Tanysha not going MTB etc.), so probably still not gospel, ha, but you'd like to think it was official if they have the (Q) next to her.

I guess it could also maybe mean she definitely has one of the WC for her efforts, should she need it, so definitely through regardless.

Danielle got a bit of revenge over Emily M by beating her 6-2 6-2 (had lost both previous meetings in Week 1), so she'll almost certainly face Millie tomorrow (injury permitting) in yet another rematch from yesterday, with Emily M playing CVA. We could actually get the exact same 6 matches on Sunday that we saw on Friday, if the Freya-Emily Ap and Erin-Alice matches go a certain way.

Emily Ap currently 6-2 2-0* up on Freya.

The table was there at the beginning of this week so yes may be they already decided to give her the WC already for her efforts.  I didn't even spot the errors you picked up,  just focused on who had qualified

Mind, I shouldn't be too hard on them for the odd mistake, because I've loved this whole series, and it's given us the chance to regularly watch British players we'd rarely/never get the chance to, but back to the original point, it's good for Beth that she'll have clarity one way or the other, and can plan accordingly. I'm sure she won't need a WC anyway, but she'd definitely be a worthy pick if that's what it turned out to be.

Friday's OOP:

10am
Sonay vs Emily Arb (to decide A1)
NB 11.15am
Emily M vs Camille (to decide A5)
NB 12.30pm
Freya vs Erin (to decide A3)
NB 2pm
Alice vs Emily Ap
NB 3.30am
Nadia vs Eliz
NB 5pm
Millie vs Danielle (to decide B5)

Emily Ap beat Freya 6-2 6-3, and Alice has beaten Erin 6-2 6-2, so bar a withdrawal/retirement, or surely the biggest upset in SGH history in this final match, those matches should be what we see tomorrow, although not necessarily in that order, or to decide A1, A3 etc.

Quite strange how that has worked out.

I also see we have now gone past the stage on this thread where you can easily move pages, and now it is just 'first' and 'last' and that < symbol, so I definitely think we should have a new individual thread for the women's Classic week to make it much easier to navigate previous pages

To be honest, we could have a new thread for next week's and combine it with the Classic, or two separate new threads, because it will be pretty annoying working your way back all the time. Could even start in time for tomorrow.

I think that must be the quickest match here thus far. I was thinking Millie might have been feeling it because 14 matches in a row, in addition to winning the Progress Tour Div 1 the week before, is some going for someone who's not long turned 17, but no hanging around there. 30 minutes...

Emily M beat CVA 6-0 6-2 to finish 11th. Exactly the same score as when they met 2 days ago, but 10 mins quicker this time (48 mins), so the main final will start on time.

Emily Arb has just ended an 8 game winning streak from Sonay in the final. Still a lot more work for her to do though.

Sonay 6-2 *3-1.

Addict and Ace, you can create a new thread yourselves? Just click " start a new topic' from within womens section. Give it a relevant title, easiest is to copy this one and amend to call it week 5 and 6 or some such. And job is done. Anyone can do it, you can!

Edit, start a new topic button is on top right of this thread if you cant see it.
