So Hannah will strive tomorrow to become the first Brit to reach the singles final here since 2008, when both Laura Robson and Liam Broady reached the final. Standing in her way is Hephzibah's conqueror, the 2007 who is aiming to complete an unusual double - her sister Linda winning here last year (and then racing up the ITF rankings to the fringe of the top 10) . Hannah's match is second on Centre

Hannah has started with the first semi having concluded quickly. The American Clervie Ngounoue, who won the WTA Future Stars event in October to book her place here, continued her record of not conceding more than 4 games in a set to reach the final.. Hannah is up against it already 4*-1 down

Hannah lost the first set 6-1. The second was competitive but error-strewn. Hannah served for it at 5-4 but lost the next three games so exits 6-1 7-5

Hannah lost 1-6 5-7.

Just caught the last few games after the AO final and presentation was out of the way. She served for the set at 5-4, and at 30-30 there was a net cord which just trickled over, and I couldn't tell which way it went, and it didn't help that the score on the streams change about 30 seconds after the point for some reason. Anyway, it was BP not SP, and Hannah then double faulted to get it back on serve.

Great attitude from Hannah, Brenda made more unforced errors second set. But credit to Hannah she mixed up the pace giving more problems for her opponent Who prefers a bigger ball as evidenced in the Hephzibah match.

Fruvhirtova just won an exceptional final against Ngounoue, 6-0, 3-6, 7-5. I saw much of the second and third sets, and it's hard to imagine a 14s match being played to a higher standard.

Brenda F has just won the title after an interesting 3 set match against an American with a big serve.

 

The streams have been good throughout, but this kind of was like watching on TV. Good stuff.

It really was a good match. I pretty much saw it all and the first set wasn't as routine as the score suggested. Nice crowd too.

Great match to watch. Great ball striking from both players, huge talents and Brenda just a 2007!
