                              Congratulations to Oliver Tarvet on qualifying for Wimbledon Singles 2025.

 

 

                GSQ Wimbledon and we had three in the FQR again this year. Marni, Hannah and Sonay managed

it last year. Oliver Tarvet, Hamish Stewart and Emily Appleton managed it this year. Last year we also had one qualifier-

Sonay who has done so well since. Hopefully Oliver will also be successful.

                   Oliver joins the Gentlemen : Jack, Jacob, Cam, Billy and wild cards - Jay Clark, Oliver Crawford, Daniel Evans,

Arthur Fery, George Loffhagen, Johannus Monday, Jack Pinnington Jones and Henry Searle in the main draw.

                   The Ladies in the main draw this year are Emma, Katie B, Sonay and wild cards - Jodie Burrage, Harriet Dart,

Francesca Jones, Hannah Klugman, Petra Kvitova (non GB), Mika Stojsavljevic, Heather Watson and Mingge (Mimi) Xu.

Wimbledon Grand Slam fortnight has started this week. There were 23 Brits in the singles main draw listed last

week in the previous post (above), On Monday our winners were Sonay, Ollie, Cam, Arthur, Billy, Emma, and Katie.

On Tuesday our winners were Dan, Jack and Jack PJ. So we had 10 into Round Two. smile We now have 3 into the Third

Round : - Sonay, Cam and Emma.biggrin

After one round we have two pairs left in the Ladies' Doubles :- Jodie & Sonay and Ella & Mimi whilst in the

Gentlemen's Doubles we have four pairs :- Henry with Harri (defending champions), Julian & Lloyd, Billy & Marcus

and Joe & Neal.

The FQR for the Qualifying for Junior Wimbledon 2025 Is on Friday. Hep Oluwadare is our only survivor. She is

hoping to win her match and join Oliver Bonding, Hannah Klugman, Mika Stojsavljevic, Mimi Xu and wild cards

in the main draw. For more details please follow the relevant threads in the Junior section on this forum.

It's been M25 SF, M25 QF, M25 QF so far. So quite consistent if not exactly spectacular.

As I was saying in the M25 USA thread, these first two weeks repeated the same weeks from last year. This week last year he was M25 RU.

This is a bit geeky and I am sure no one is doing this (why would you?!) but out of interest, I wondered if anyone kept any sort of record of how many players make the Friday feeling list over the season?

I don't propose anyone starts doing it, I was just interested if anyone did to see which players might have made the most Fridays - sort of a measure of consistency of performance through the year?

Arthur's Challenger event is actually taking place in Michigan, while Anton M's & Tristan Reiff's doubles event is an M25, as per Anton's singles.
