So , still a decent set of doubles players in this week

Queens - Jamie Murray/Neal Skupski, Joe Salisbury go today, Andy Murray, Dan Evans and Ken Skupski hopefully start tomorrow

Halle - Dom Inglot plays today

Ilkley - Jubb, Peniston, Choinski, Hoyt, Bains, Lumsden play today

So 13 players still playing in one event or another and 10 of those due to play today.

Most focus on Queens now, but hope Naiktha and Maia can do something

All of the Queens guys are due to play tomorrow. Hopefully someone will carry the baton. Dan and Ken winning will take them both equal 2nd. Jamie and Neal need a win to get back on track. Andy, who cares, playing is the thing!

Last season overall we ended up with 114 wins in doubles. So far we are at 37 wins this season, a third. We have most of the Queens field left and presumably Eastbourne mens will be a strong entry for GB, but asking us to gain 77 wins in the next few weeks is going to be a hard ask. Doubles disappointing this grass season I feel? Discuss...?

Yes, none of our teams have really got going. Ironically in part the men because they are generally playing up a level, but the grass has been so stop start so far, and the women ... seems to have been injuries in addition to the stop start. The focus on the W100s plus hasn't favoured the participation of our women this year, and their participation in the doubles draws has been limited. Apart from Dan, no-one else's grass season has gone very far so far, doubles most of all.

Probably jumping the gun but with andy also playing eastbourne and Wimbledon with top partners, he could do well in this listing over next few weeks.

So the doubles takes centre stage for Brits at least and the wins for Joe, Dan and Ken give us this table: With those 3 and Andy still in, we are looking at some challenges to Dom's lead and possibly a new leader at the end of the week. But Joe plays the Bryans and Dan/Ken v Andy will take someone out when that finishes. Still a decent week in Queens and exciting stuff to come

Wins tally 43 now , 28 from the mens side and 15 women

1 D. Inglot 4
2 D. Evans 3
J. Salisbury 3

A good day in the mens doubles and 3 more wins added to take us to 46, with 1 more guaranteed tomorrow

Joe Salisbury is now top with Dom Inglot, a win tomorrow will put him onto 5 and clear number one. Andy got two wins and moves into equal 3rd with a bunch of players, but another win will take him top, something I think no one here would have guessed would happen.

As it happens, 5 people voted for Joe to top this seasons lists and whilst there is a lot of play still to go (we have 11 entrants in mens and 2 womens in Eastbourne) they could be happy at Joes progress to the top of the pile

1 J. Salisbury 4
D. Inglot 4
3 D. Evans 3
K. Skupski 3
L. Bambridge 3
N. Broady 3
A. Murray 3
H. Watson 3
9 J. Murray 2

E. Silva 1
E. Webley-Smith 1
J. O'Mara 1

I guess there was a sense of inevitability all week, but title at Queens for Andy and he joins Dom and Joe at the top of the table: lots of players (13 in total) in doubles in Eastbourne so should be a fun week!

4 D. Evans 3
K. Skupski 3
L. Bambridge 3
N. Broady 3

Just to compare with last year, we had 82 wins at end of eastbourne week in doubles, we have 47 so far this year. We should get a decent number of wins this week, but 35 more seems very unlikely so we will be behind last year and probably by some way.

A few of our pairs in action today: Scott and James , then Luke/Jonny v Dan and Lloyd (which should be interesting) and Harriet and Heather have a tough task against the 3rd seeds
