That was rather as good as it got.

A final in a $25K is no bad shakes. However, I can't shake the feeling that Emily is yet to scale the heights to which the pedigree of her junior career, and prestigious college scholarship suggest is her true potential.

I must admit that I wasn't all that impressed by the few games I saw Emily play at Chiswick - was expecting her to be more competitive against someone ranked in the 400's. I was expecting to see a lot more improvement since I last watched her just before she went to Stanford.
