Yes. With 9 players, and 3 drawing qualifiers, and 3 drawing unseeded players, you would have hoped for a few more wins at the home tournament.....All four three-set matches ended in losses too. Let's hope Anton and Jack make a deep run to make up for it.....

A MASSIVE well done to Anton there... his opponent served for the match at 3-5*, Anton played a super return game and managed to get his serves in after that and won it 5-7 6-3 7-5.

Well done that man. Fully deserved.

I do like Anton's game, but he can be very hard on himself at time.
Jack is up a set.

Just watched the final stages of Anton's match and the Dutch opponent broke his racket going 40-15 down and the umpire called the match there and then. Think it was the same lad who beat George L at the French Open.

Anton next plays the Finn who took out Sebastian Korda. Jack won 11 games in a row and faces CD's early contender for the fair player of the tournament award, who won 9-7 in the third today

Jack Draper v (11) Tristan Boyer (USA)

Doubles R1 (L32)

(1) Ho/Tseng (TPE) d. (WC) MacLean/Matusevich 6-1 6-4

From a picture on twitter, he damaged the grass with his racket. Do juniors get find for such things? Might be a silly q but I don't follow junior tennis.
