Sheppy also in our league got a draw and take Billericay back to the Isle, they have a cracking chance of progressing always get a very decent crowd (>700) in their stadium (made out of containers).

We got our second biggest home gate (579) only beaten by that at our Vase SF home leg v Canterbury City.

Sheppey won their replay and join Cray Valley Paper Mills and Ramsgate from level 8 in the first round proper.

Sheppey have Walsall at home - presumably that will be on TV? Id hope Marine and Harrogate may also be on TV as a possible upset? Gulp.

That is an absolutely cracking draw for Sheppy. The Isle is an interesting place but their football club has gone from strength to strength & their committee so self effacing. We played them the last game of the season effectively a head to head for the last play off place but a draw would mean Ramsgate sneaking through. Had a real fun afternoon behind the goal chatting to a couple of their committee members despite the result. Both Ramsgate & Sheppy are community based sustainable clubs regularly getting gates around the 700 or greater mark. CVPM not so (so many clubs near by Charlton, Welling, Phoneix, VCD, Cray Wanderers, Erith & Belvedere all within a couple of miles of Eltham) gates 150 ish last season but lets hope the publicity really helps.

Too see three Isthmian SE teams in 1st round proper is testament to the quality of the league they presently sit 9th, 12th & 16th its going to be a real bun fight when they all start playing some league games. Cant believe I am going to miss the games as will be out of the country with work in a pretty isolated bit of Pakistan, missed Hamlet v Carlisle in the cup (which was gutting) doing something similar a few years back so wont be doing that again

Southport has been taken over again with the chairmen selling his controlling interest to the Big Help Group

Oh my goodness all eyes on Kent (STEP 4) non league this weekend (TV wise). A combination of PIAs problems buying fuel & the general oppressive limitations on independent activity as a westerner in Pakistan made an early flight back to catch the action a no brainer. Jet lagged but should be able to keep my eyes open for the Walsalls first European trip as they leave the mainland for a cracker in Sheppys ground that used to be a shipping container! An upset not an impossibility despite all the Sheppy boys going to work first.

Ramsgate should also give Woking a game.

Millers will struggle against Charlton but we (all 15 of us who go away! ) will have a great time in the 5000 seater Jimmy Seed stand.

Walsall are coming down a day early to prepare for the game, honestly might not be a good thing, Sheppy is normally blowing a gale and has a one arcade seaside resort feel, the only institutions to visit are prisons, generally saps the soul!

Only saw the end of Cray Valley, but really enjoyed that - cracking performance and probably will earn enough money to keep them going for a long time.

Oh what a night! The Millers still unbeaten in the League, FA Cup & FA Trophy. Great group of players who can play decent football really well managed by Steve. Really worried about our capacity to stage a replay.

Fantastic atmosphere in the Jimmy Seed stand, we get quite a few Millwall (& ironically Charlton) when they arent playing. Our U10s were in fine voice in the row behind me, nights like that guarantee they will be hooked for life.

Hopefully this will pay for a second turnstile!

I think what it shows is the quality deep in the pyramid, a product of every kid being able to play football the contrast with tennis is painful and the total commitment of the managers and volunteers. Most bar groundsmen & catering do it for nothing.

Absolutely fantastic to Mark the kit man celebrating with the players, Lee the groundsmen with his son Connor leading the Green army behind the goal along with Frank the stadium announcer & dodgy DJ. Slightly disappointed that Del (doorman) and Doddsie (Catering) elected for an executive box. Essential along with Paul (long distance railway fan) & the rest of the committee this is our away support

The players are technically superb many with a bit of luck could be on the other side, our CM got ACL injuries in the palace academy & still about 20, Kyrell was in the Watford academy last year with his twin (very loud in the stand) and now at Brentford. Kevin his dad obviously loves football & spends his time supporting his sons & having taken the Millers to a vase final felt bringing Kyrrel back the perfect move to get things going again and given we remain unbeaten in the FACup Trophy & League hes getting lots of opportunity & exposure.

Some of the guys just arent big enough or good enough athletes to play professionally but great players who get to supplement their income doing something they love, cant fault it!

Last Yrs CF is now at Crawley & the U18 forward at Watford. It was also nice to see Charltons Nash progress who came through at Met Police.

All not bad for a tenner (first ticket my son has ever bought me! Long May it continue)

Horsham re-instated into the FA Cup after Barnsley fielded an ineligible player.

I assume they get the rather nice prize money as well...

Not to mention quite a local derby against Sutton in the R2 fixture.

Chesterfield are almost certainly up.
Oxford City look like they are relegated.

In the North, suprise package Tamworth are close to promotion and Bishop Stortford seem doomed.
In the South, Yeovil are back on the up and Dover are in big trouble.

Looking around the leagues. Radcliffe, Hornchurch, Needham Market and Chesham are in pole position to get promoted.

Non League day today.
If you are looking for something to do this afternoon, go and support your local non league team - plenty of clubs doing promotions.
