The Scottish non league play-off will take place over the next two Saturdays between East Kilbride ( the clear Lowland League Champions ) and Brora Rangers ( the Highland League champions on GD from Brechin City, who just miss out again ).

The winners will go into a final play-off against the bottom club in League Two - going to be either Bonnyrigg RA ( who carry a big points penalty for an unresolved sloping pitch) or Forfar Athletic.

East Kilbride were in the play-offs last year, at which time I reported :
"East Kilbride lies about 8 miles SE of Glasgiw and is Scotland's 6th largest city / town with a population of around 75,000 so most certainly the largest town currently without a league team. It was designated Scotland's first 'new town'. In 1947."

Brora is a wee bit smaller   More info coming shortly.

First leg:  Big toon 4 Wee village 1

Second leg: Wee village 3 Big toon 3 ( aggregate 7-4, though was at 5-4 with over 30 minutes left.

Final play-off: East Kilbride vs Bonnyrigg RA, again over 2 legs.

Bonnyrigg ultimately only lost out for bottom place on goal difference, winning their final leage game whiie Forfar drew theirs. Ultimately their 6 points sloping pitch penalty has cost them, and they have a fight to stay in the Scottish League, having been promoted from the Lowland League 3 years ago.

If Brora is a wee village, what is Bonnyrigg relatively ! I know they are league level but it sounds like a little place also!

Kiddy have parted company with their manager. They finished third in the league(should have won it) and then lost in the playoffs.
What is the world coming to....

The playoffs to get into NLN and NLS have been completed
Worksop, AFC Totton, AFC Telford and Dover progress

Phil Brown, the former Hull City and various others manager, and long time assistant to Big Sam Aliardyce, was tne Kiddy manager. I read that he was Manager of the Month for March after they won 7 games in a row. Lost top place in the last game of the regular season then lost in the play-offs.

East Kilbride into Scottish League Two, after beating Bonnyrigg 3-1 on aggregate. Bonnyrigg down into the Lowland League.

There is a huge controversy over the National League play off final.

Capacity at Wembley is restricted due to works at Wembley Station, so I understand capacity is below 40K.
Southend and Oldham have two huge supporters bases.

Southend have sold 20,000 tickets in 48 hours and reckon they can sell 35000.
Oldham have had gates of 8/9K this season, so should easily sell out their capacity.

Discussions are ongoing about increasing capacity.

It looks like they have released more tickets, but only for official coach travel.
Still not enough as over 40,000 tickets sold - which will be a record and likely to be more than Wimbledon v Walsall. ..

Though I do see that the Wimbledon vs Walsall official attendance was 50,947.

I am guessing they won't get enough increased capacity / more tickets to beat that.

The exact same tube closures were in place when Taylor swift played there and they happily sold Wembley to its capacity. It does seem very unfair to these sets of supporters and they also seem to be very unflexible about it. As a fan, to miss out possibly one of your lifelong supporting highlights seems so harsh

Might get beat - Southend have sold close to 30000 tickets. They got more tickets based on coach travel only.

Oldham have just broken the 20k ticket sales.

Congratulations to Oldham, who return to the football league after coming from behind in extra time

Seems that it was beaten. The capacity was supposedly increased to 50,000 but the attendance is showing as 52,115. No doubt would have been more if there had been no limitations / mucking about.

Yes indeed.
Still a couple of huge fan bases left in the National League.
Southend and Carlisle spring to mind plus the likes of York, S****horpe and Hartlepool.
