Not sure if this is the lot or whether we would expect two more womens and presumably mens to come, I know someone (redsquirrel I think? apologies if not) was told 4 womens ITF events but it looks like it is 2 mens and 2 womens, certainly that is what the LTA are putting up...

I'm glad that Chiswick is confirmed. It's one of the easy ones for me to get to, and I have been to the L32 or L16 round three years out of the last 4. So I've every intention of going again this year.

The September events should be confirmed next month. There has been a men's outdoor event at Roehampton in September every year since 2011 (except for 2016 when there were no men's outdoor events). For the last two years it has been in week 38, which this year will be the ATP Challenger in Glasgow, so it seems a reasonable belief that the the women have an event there in that week instead. There has also been an outdoor men's event in Nottingham in September for 3 of the last 4 years, but if AV has been informed the two women's events are to be in the London area, and Shrewsbury Club have indicated that they are holding a mens ITF event in September, it seems that Nottingham won't be holding an ITF event this year.

As Chiswick is a combined event with the men, for the first time since I think 2011, it will only be 24 qualifying draws. The women's grass 100Ks are also indicated to be 24 qualifying draws. Manchester and the summer 25s are where our juniors and US College players have picked up ranking points in recent years as they've been able to get into qualifying directly. Some of them may have struggled to get in directly anyway this year with the long list of ITF ranked players ahead of those with just national rankings but the fewer places and one fewer wild card in qualifying than there would be with a 32 qualifying draw won't help. Hopefully they'll still be opportunities for Emily Arb, Nell, Olivia P, Eden R, Holly H and others (and equivalent on the mens side) to get into ranking tournaments over the summer.

The events in Woking and Roehampton at the end of July will be 32 qualifying draws.

Thanks for that, good interview. The desire to get an atp event is quite strong I understand, but it would require 4 times the peizemoney and other costs and need a big sponsor and some names to make it work. But great to be ambitious. The welcome to yorkshire team that has got the tour de france and world cycling champs hear to harrogate and yorkshire could certainly work with them if not already.

As an aside, in the photo in the article from the final, my dad and are directly in front row behind the players chairs it's hard to see and not sure photo can be blown up, but I'm wearing a red sweatshirt and my dad is the older chap on my left. Ha.
