Agreed, what would Alex Scott know as a RB with 140 England caps. Enjoyed Rudd Guilts book How to watch football easy read & puts a different perspective on things, interesting to work out how sides set up against each other when watching live. Very few low blocks in National League South!
I have fond memories of Gordon. When was young, maybe 13 or 14, I played for a junior team called Kirk Deighton Rangers. Kirk Deighton is maybe 15 miles down the A1 from Leeds and close to Thorp Arch. Our coach organised for Gordon and Joe Jordan to come and give a training session to the squad; Joe Jordan subsequently signed for Man Utd. Anyway, I think it was Joe fell off his motorbike just before the training and didnt get to make it, but Gordon came along and gave us a couple of hours of his time. I managed to score a goal over my shoulder in the game we played, goal of my life - I was never in the first team, too short and not skilled enough, and got loaned to Harrogate Police Boys (all their team had walked away en masse so we loaned players to allow the fixtures to be fulfilled) team soon after, but highlight of my career!
Illan Meslier became a record breaker today becoming the 1st goalkeeper under the age of 21 to have 8 clean sheets in a single season. (Beating Joe Hart's 7)

So you are pointing out that it must be very rare for a goalkeeper under 21 to play most of a season
Naa, still well done fo him and Leeds on yet another clean sheet.
I put the TV on at 7.45pm tonight expecting this to be just kicking off, or 15 mins build up, but Rotherham vs Forest was just about to start. Surprised it started at 6pm, usually they would have the bigger match on at the more prime time.
Although having just checked live-footballontv.com, I see that there is Champions League football on at the moment, which will probably explain the earlier KO. Good win though.
Leeds have 1.4 points per game average now. I see 1.333 as solid mid table (W,d,l) and around 49 or 50 points a year. Leeds are on track. (Harrogate are 1.3 now, tracking back in 13th out of 24)
