I know a few didn't travel or struggled to get visas at short notice (Shapatava one of them although I think she would still be too far out).

Certainly worth someone like Naiktha signing in!

Rather odd they get a WC but weren't prepared to give Lissey and Liv one last year.

To give an indication of the impact using singles for entries has, Lissey and Liv are actually the 34th highest ranked pair in the draw on doubles rankings.

I'm looking at Darts to see the seeding rankings and entry rankings. I see they are halfway down the list, and those below them (other than the WC's) all have better entry rankings.

The standout one is Desirae Krawczyk and Danielle Collins with a seeding ranking of 344 but an entry ranking of 21.

Lissey and Liv wouldn't have made the draw without a wildcard.

Not really. Naiktha and Maia reached the final of Ilkley, narrowingly losing the MTB. Whether by choice or otherwise Lissey and Liv didn't play any grass tournaments last year.

Actually she is in Perigueux, France. They played indoors today, not on the outdoor clay.
