I was just thinking that top 500 on the women's side is quite easy to do for players of a reasonable level. It is much harder to break through into top 400.
Ranah is one case in point with a full set of counters and only 3 big counters - 75k QF 50k SF & 15K win
I fear that the likes of Ranah, Alicia, Esther, Millie etc will all get stuck in this ranking area
In top 250 terms, men are at a live 14 with Toby sitting on a top 250 place
Yes, we were here before in the 12/01 rankings. But Toby ( and the 14 in the top 250 ) now on a bit firmer ground with him live ranked 242 ( and hopefully he can push that still higher this week ) as against his CH 248.
There continues to be 29 GB men in the singles top 500 but in the latest rankings there is now a ginormous points / ranking gap to the GB #30 - with the previous #30 Millen Hurrion dropping from WR 600 to WR 704 with 16 points dropping off.
As at 09/02:
28 / WR 457 - James Story 100 points 29 / WR 480 - Henry Searle 91
Stuart Parker dropped 28 points in Monday's update and has fallen out of the top 500 ( WR 539 ) witb quite a few more points to drop in the upcoming weeks. Been no sign of Stuart, still just 28 yo, since November. I assume injury related. I don't know if anyone knows any more?
So down to 28 in the top 500 for now. Though Anton has certainly beem moving up recently with his two M15 titles and an M25 SF. He is up to WR 547. Live ranked 510.
Still a big gap to GB # 31, currently Millen Hurrion WR 681.
Still 28 in the top 500 but M15 titles for both Emille Hudd and Millen Hurrion in week 12 pushed each of them up 80+ places into the top 600 and they have a few more points coming from last week.
432. Henry S 106 points 439. Aidan M 103 480. James S 90
521. Anton M 79 571. Emile H 67 590. Millen H 64 598. Stuart P 62
Also, Liam and Harry's Japan Challenger 50 finalist exploits have taken us to now 16 in the top 250, 2 more than I recall ever seeing before.
With Ali G getting his points from China into the live rankings, we are currently sitting with our top 20 all in the top 300. I know that isnt the point of this thread, but thought it worth a note

From the opening post in 2015, we then had just 13 in the top 500. Now, in live rankings 27 in the top 500 and, as you say, 20 in the top 300 when we did have that frustrating period looking for Bob's 20 in the top 500.
