The WTA have done what they did last year and issued a rankings update on Thursday after the Canadian Open and then updated it on the Monday. Confusingly, the rankings are still dated 10 August, even though they contain points that aren't due on until 17 August. The Career Highs from Thursday's rankings have been changed to the rankings in this update but dated 10 August. Ranking movements are against the pre-Canadian Open rankings. Got that? 

So, here are the updated rankings for the "10 August 2026"

Lots of healthy upward movements including

Millie R up 73
Ella up 62
Brooke up 106
Jodie up 85
Edie joins Kristina in the rankings.

Because they have added points from the week 31 W35/W15s and last weeks W75/W50s since Thursday's update so somebody has moved above her. Really, last Thursday's rankings were for the 10th + Toronto and these latest rankings are for the 17th. But they treat the Thursday rankings as provisional and reissue them on the Monday with all points due on by the Monday. But they have for whatever reason treated today's rankings as last Monday's rankings + all points due by the 17th.

Oh gawd, I had happily agreed the original ATP and WTA backdated 10/08 ranking points as simply normal 10/08 rankings with the ATP / WTA Canada 1000 event points added in. Then had assumed nothing more would alter until 24/08 while Cinci was on, so ITF points 'due' to be added at 17/08 would be added at 24/08.

I hereby boycott any attempt at trying to agree this latest nonsense and assume it will all come together with my currently projected 24/08 rankings.

They should at least have called this further update 17/08 rankings and left the 10/08 rankings be.

Good for you ! 

It's got my head spinning - they publish a CH one week, and then a CH one place LOWER the next week 

The ITF change the junior rankings a lot too - an occasional one is fine, I can see how it happens, but it's all the time - but people don't care so much about those
